OS Templates Cookies Policy

The annoying "Cookie Agree" notice text at the bottom of the browser window is due to new EU legislation - if you wish to use our website we now have to ask if you are OK with our use of cookies. With that said, please read the following carefully:

The "OS Templates" website makes use of cookies, by using the OS Templates website you agree to OS Templates use of cookies in accordance with the information found within this policy.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are created and stored on a user's browsing device. They contain a small amount of data specific to a particular device / user and website. They can be accessed / viewed by the web server or the users device.

There are multiple reasons for the use of Cookies, for example: enabling a web server to identify browser information and track user behaviour on a website.

Types of cookies:

Cookies Used in Our Website

Cookies used in our website are declared as First-party & session cookies, as well as Third -paty cookies, which in turn may use persistent cookies for their services to work properly.

As of writing this policy, third party services used in our site consist of:

OS Templates does not have access to and as such can not control cookies set by third parties / external sources.

BuySellAds Cookies

BuySellAds is an online advertising network based in Boston, Massachusetts, it is used in our website to show banner ads. Their service uses cookies to track clicks and user statistics.

You can read their privacy policy (which includes their use of cookies) here and their terms of use can be found here.

Google Cookies

Like millions of other websites, OS Templates makes use of a variety of services provided by Google. In particular OS Templates uses Google Analytics, which enables us to review / analyse end-user use of our website.

For those who are new to Google Analytics, the service is used to generate statistical, geographical and other information about website use such as browser type, device used etc. The information collected by the cookies contain no personal information, but they will store your IP address to allow geographical diagnostics.

If you would like to view Google's privacy policy, you can view it here.

Please click this link if you would like to know exactly which cookies are set by Google Analytics and what they are for.

OS Templates also uses Google Adsense, primarily found within live demos. The ads that appear are fully controlled by Google, OS Templates has no control over the displayed ads whatsoever.

To restrict the data used / collected by Google Adsense we use Googles own "Non-personalised ads", for detailed information please view the support post on Google.

Google set cookies (DoubleClick cookies) to track your interest behaviour across the web, when viewing various websites of interest to you. You can control the ads that are delivered to you from Google by using the Ads settings tool.

Google Opt-out

Google has developed a "Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on" which enables you, the user, to stop Google from using the data their analytics cookies have collected. You can download the add-on here.

Using the add-on does not affect the use of our website in any form, it simply prevents Google from using the collated data.

You can also opt-out by clicking this link, what happens here is Google Analytics sets a cookie to stop tracking, with immediate effect. There is one caveat using this option, the cookie is device dependant and as such, the opt-out must be completed on all devices you use to view our website.

You can opt-out of the Adsense interest based ads via "ads settings" but you will continue to see ads, they will not specifically be based on visited sites or interest. For more information take a look here.

Disable Cookies in Your Browser

If you don't want cookies to be stored on your "internet ready device" (PC, MAC, SmartPhone, Laptop etc.) you can prevent sites from doing so, by changing the settings in your devices browser.

Listed below are links to the individual guides that should help you change the privacy settings for the most common browsers used at the time of writing this policy:
